Episode 46 - HoopPhi
The following is an episode submitted by an avid fan of Geighbours. Thanks HoopPhi and I reckon it's great!
Chloe and Midge arrived back at the apartment building and headed toward their respective apartments in silence. The night was filled with uneasiness. Sara got so plastered at Jez’s that she decided to crash at Jez’s apartment for the night.
The next morning, Chloe was up early getting ready to go for her run. She stepped out of her apartment and squinted her eyes at the brightness of the sunlight.
A strange man passing by her apartment door and approached Chloe.
“Excuse me, can you tell me where the land lady is?” he said abruptly. Chloe was startled and gave the strange, middle-aged man a who the hell are you? look. “I’m her son, Gordon.” He explained officiously.
“Oh. You haven’t heard?” Chloe said.
‘No, heard what? Is she OK?’ Gordon asked with a confused look.
“You better come in…it’s a long story.” Chloe said. She invited him in and noticed that he surveyed her apartment as if he was in real estate. Chloe directed him to the sofa and told him to make himself comfortable. He brushed away the leather cushion before he sat down.
While Gordon sat on the couch, Chloe told him the whole story, repeating the part where she had a knife to her throat twice due to an interrupting phone call.
Chloe couldn’t get over how unfriendly Gordon seemed compared to Nan. Nan is a fluffy little kitty cat…Chloe thought to herself. Gordon is like a mean ass tiger that got kicked out of the jungle for being so mean.
Gordon tapped his lip impatiently as Chloe repeated the ordeal from the day before.
“I knew leaving her in this place would get her in trouble,” Gordon snarled. He stood up angrily and walked out of Chloe’s apartment slamming the door behind him. Chloe jumped up as the door slammed.
“He at least could have said ‘thank you’,” Chloe mumbled to herself, “Oh well, time to run.”
Chloe cut her run a little short this time due to the unexpected delay of Gordon’s visit. After her run, she passed Jez’s apartment and ran into Sara coming out of the apartment.
“Hey there. Wow, Sara, you don’t look so good…you okay?”
Sara’s hair was all tangled and her eyes were drooping from a lack of sleep. She brought her hand to her forehead. “I have a massive headache…do you have any aspirin?”
Chloe could smell the alcohol on Sara’s breath.
“Yeah, of course. Come on in and I’ll get you some.” Chloe nervously unlocked her apartment door and led Sara inside. She closed the door and went into her kitchen to get the asprin, leaving Sara in the living room. Chloe frantically opened and closed all of her cabinets, but couldn’t find any drugs. She hit her fist down on the counter top when she realized she had given Jules her last two aspirin after the rumble at the soccer game.
Chloe walked out of the kitchen and into the living room.
“I don’t have...” Chloe stopped in mid-sentence as she saw the object of her sexual desire asleep on “the love boat”, aka Chloe’s couch.
Even though Sara was drooling on the expensive leather upholstery, Chloe could think of one thing and one thing only…taking Sarah right there, right now.
